Questions, answered
Do I need to be able to see to use MeSee?
No. MeSee is designed first for VoiceOver. Everything, including choosing a plan and taking photos, works without looking at the screen. People with low vision can use large text and high contrast.
Is my photo library uploaded?
Never. MeSee reads your library on your iPhone. A single photo is sent, as a small copy without location data, only when you ask for a description, and it isn't kept.
How accurate are the descriptions?
Very good, but AI can be wrong. MeSee says "appears to" or "possibly" when it isn't sure, and never guesses who a stranger is. Please don't rely on it for medicine labels, money or safety decisions.
What happens after the free week?
Descriptions you already have stay yours, and the gallery and on-device search stay free. To describe new photos, choose MeSee Plus, or MeSee Pro for Plus with Camera Coach.
Why are there monthly limits?
Every description is made by a paid AI service. Limits keep MeSee affordable and sustainable. They're generous for everyday use, and Settings always shows how much you've used.
Can I turn the AI off?
Yes, any time. In the camera, one tap turns Iris's help or AI off. In Settings you can turn AI descriptions off completely; then nothing leaves your phone, and on-device search keeps working.
How is Camera Coach different from the Camera app?
Camera Coach watches the live view on your iPhone and tells you, out loud, how to frame the shot, then takes it at the right moment. For people it takes three photos and keeps the one with open eyes and the best focus. Afterwards it suggests fixes you apply with one tap.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel in the Settings app under your name, then Subscriptions, or from Settings in MeSee. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
